Sitting down watching shows is best paired with a snack in my opinion. Even though it is completely doable I have no desire to exercise. After weeks and weeks, I started to notice the lack of movement and the number of snacks I was mindlessly consuming while watching my favorite shows started to show on the scale. I still wanted to curve my craving for a snack, but I wanted to do it in a healthier way. I went down to my local Trader Joe's and this here's what I found. I am a person who likes balance. I usually will have one savory and one sweet snack together to curve the craving.
#1 Cookiebutter Ice Cream: This was one of the most sought after products right now and now I know why. This ice cream is amazing! I have to pay extra close attention when I decide to have some of this because it's just that good. There is a crunch from the cookie bits the smooth butter is a little bit frozen but melts in your mouth and it is folded into nicely churned vanilla ice cream. I cannot say enough good things about this ice cream 10/10.
#2 Dill Pickle Popcorn: A really fun concept I had to try it. I love chips so this for me was a good alternative with an interesting flavor I've never had before. It was really good the flavor is a lot less abrasive than you would think. It's super subtle and has a nice acidic punch similar to that of a salt and vinegar chip. I'm not the biggest popcorn person the kernels still bother me so I'd give this an 8/10.
#3 Key Lime Tea cookies: I love these cookies. They are very small and cute. Key lime is a unique flavor I feel to put into a shortbread type of cookie but it oddly works. The cookies are covered in powdered sugar, but when you eat them you aren't covered in powder sugar like you would be if you ate a six-pack of the mini powdered doughnuts. Although these cookies are small they pack a punch. That lime really comes through this is not a particularly sweet treat it's very tangy. It almost makes your lips pucker but in a good way, it tastes like someone put a Warhead candy into a shortbread cookie and I am here for it. This is another snack that can be dangerous because they are bite-sized for that reason 9/10.
#4 Buffalo Chicken Dip: I am the type of person that loves a good dip. My roommate put me onto this dip and I have never been the same since. I like that this dip has chicken because it gives it some substance and can also substitute for like a light lunch. I prefer to have this dip with blue tortilla chips (also from Trader Joe's). Surprisingly, the buffalo chicken dip doesn't have a lot of heat to it, but it has a great buffalo flavor with a kick. The dip has a sour cream base so it might not be for everyone, but I don't mind it 10/10.
#5 Instant Matcha Latte: I wanted to add a drink on this list here. Sometimes in the middle of the day, I get really sluggish. Tea is my go-to caffeinated drink of choice. When I was in the store I stumbled across this on accident and I am so glad I did. It is all the convenience of instant coffee with all of the health properties of matcha. It has a great flavor, I like mine a little bit more robust to really help me push through my midday slump so instead of 5 tablespoons of the powder I'll do 6 or 7 sometimes, the powder can get stuck to the bottom and not all of it will dissolve but that could also be a factor of me adding more powder to my drink. I usually pour my matcha latte over oat milk and ice. I like to use oat milk because it is a lot thicker and creamier than both almond and soy, it doesn't carry quite as much of a flavor either. It is definitely worth a try especially if you are lactose intolerant or a vegan. My rating on the matcha is 9/10.
